The The 'Cold Spell Ahead' b/w 'Hot Ice' 1981 7" Some Bizarre BZS4

Rare opportunity to acquire this debut 7" single from Matt Johnson's The The, released on Stevo Pearce's Some Bizarre label while still located at their Lincoln address. Given to Julian Cope in mid-1981 by Stevo while both were living at London's Columbia Hotel, the disc's glossy cover remains as clean and new as yesteryear due to its having been housed in a thick clear polythene bag. Both sides have just been played and remain clean and crisp, save for a couple of pops here and there, and a jump right at the beginning of the B-side 'Hot Ice'. By the way, 'Cold Spell Ahead' is an early version of 'Uncertain Smile'. Many thanks for looking.
