Description
Don't let the cover art fool you, this is an extraordinary recording. This is the third big band led by Jazz Master Takeski Inomata featuring many of Japan finest musicians playing in a hard bop style. This is a Direct to Disc recording and it will blow your socks off. The dynamic range is off the charts, the horns, the impact of the drum kit, the pluck of the guitar string, the sound is incredible. Make sure you start with the volume low or you might get knocked out of your set when the horn section comes in. Some low compliance phono cartridges may not be able to properly track this record, there's no compression or limiters used here.
The music is also very enjoyable, quite easy to listen to and very well played, The LP is in pristine NM condition, as is the jacket. Includes four page booklet with info on the musicians, the music, the recording and disc cutting process.
