mono original 7” in near mint condition - both sides play mint - clean, bright and sharp labels - original Parlophone bag - second of two fine 45s by The Toggery Five for Parlophone - criminally rare and bloody difficult to find in any state, let alone a sweet example such as this - superbly crafted r&b - both sides are as good as any Beatles song and, for an encapsulation of that glorious mood of mid 60s innocence, you’ll not hear better than these - nifty and wonderfully primitive Mick Abrahams guitar solo on ‘It’s So Easy’ (way before the days of McGregor’s Engine) and our Mick can also be heard putting in some sterling work with backing vocals - Clive Bunker on drums too! - nice one! - as far as the A-side goes, ‘I’d Much Rather Be With The Boys’ is a simply fabulous song and oh-so-memorable - atrociously infectious! - it really is incredibly Beatlesque, but - for me - way better, thanks largely to the added appeal of rather more mystery and a sky-high obscurity factor - indispensably stellar r&b/beatpop gem!
