A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF THIS DOUBLE ALBUM FOLK BALLAD OPERA BY PETER BELLAMY.

The Transports was a folk, ballad opera written by Peter Bellamy and released on Free Reed Records in 1977. It is often cited as Bellamy's greatest achievement. It featured many artists from the 1970s English folk revival, including The Watersons, Martin Carthy, Nic Jones, A. L. Lloyd, June Tabor, Cyril Tawney and Dave Swarbrick. The orchestral arrangements were by Dolly Collins.

All four record labels are in superb Mint Minus condition, beautiful bright and undamaged record labels.

All four sides of the Vinyl Discs are in beautiful undamaged Mint Minus condition, stunningly clean, bright Vinyl surfaces to both sides, there are no scratches or scuffs, with just a couple of light hairlines.

Both LPs play without faults, all that can be heard is light crackle on a couple of tracks.

The Vinyl LPs come in their original UK bag, and are protected in their original and superb Gatefold, sleeve which incorporates a 20 page booklet which is stapled into the centre of the Gatefold Sleeve. The booklet is very comprehensive and contains Lyrics and illistrations.

This sleeve is a superb example without any damage and is in Excellent Plus condition. There are no seam splits or tears, just a couple of mild corner bumps and light foxing (age spots) to the booklet.

This is a really superb example of this original first issue1977 Double Album Set.
