The Trypes - The Explorers Hold
  Rare 12" Vinyl EP Vinyl and labels are in excellent condition, very nice. Sleeve is in very good condition with some issues. Three corners have minor/slight dings and the spine has a noticeable dent (see pictures) and very slight wear around the edges. Other than these issues, it's really in strong/solid condition. Glossy, no splits, and very, very light ringwear.
The Trypes were one of many spinoffs of the New Jersey/New York based band the Feelies.
Here, woodwinds and keyboards are prominently added to the group's usual guitar dominated sound.
The influence of the Velvet Underground is very pronounced on this EP, especially in "Morning Glories"
(with its rumbling tom-toms, trancelike piano/bass/guitar texture, and Moe Tucker-ish vocals) and
"Music for Neighbors" (an episodic instrumental). "Undertow" is an enjoyably energetic number (later
redone on The Feelies release, Only Life). that suggests the best work of the Woodentops. There's also
a respectable cover of the Beatles song (George Harrison) "Love You To". This is a warm-sounding,
eminently listenable release that any Feelies fan should try to obtain.  ~Internet Review/Comments~
