THE TURTLES - IT AIN'T ME BABE - NEW / 180GM HEAVYWEIGHT VINYL

LP NEW / MINT & UNPLAYED

For a 1965 release this was a great listen.  Covering songs by Dylan and P.F. Sloan they fit nicely into a group of similar bands that were achieving success travelling down the same path. "Like a Rolling Stone" was meant to be a hit for them but Dylan squashed that when he grabbed Al Kooper and his rolling Hammond organ.  Howard Kaylan showed some talent by penning a few goods songs like "Let the Cold Winds Blow" and "A Walk in the Sun".  Early jangle guitars similar to the early Byrds describes the sound. This also includes my favorite version of "Eve of Destruction”.
