Description
You are bidding for a mega rare 1961 original pressing of one of the great R&B albums ever produced, WAR! The Jesters vs The Paragons recorded on the Winley Label LP-6003 in High Fidelity, valued for $500+ in the Goldmine Price Guide and this is one of them. The 49 year old, thick glossy album cover is in excellent condition. There is no ring wear, tape, tears, writing or wrinkles, just slight discoloration to to aging. The liner notes in back look great, with just a hint of discoloration. The black shiny record is beautiful and the Orange Labels are stunning, with just a couple of light spindle marks from very little use. I inspected the super rare record under a 100 watt light and there were no scratches, scuffs or groove lines, and few light surface lines/paper cuts from removing the record from the sleeve. I truly believe you will not find a cleaner copy of this legendary album. I also played the record just prior to listing and it sounded like a new record, no skips, sticks, pops or hisses. The songs include; Side 1, (The Jesters) The Wind, Sally Green, Come Let Me Show You, Down In Uncle Henry's Basement, Tutti Frutti, That's How It Goes. Side 2, (The Paragons) Kneel And Pray, Just A Memory, Florence Don't Leave Me, Don't Cry Baby, So You Will Know, Two Hearts Are Better Than One. Based on the Goldmine guide, the album cover is graded VG+, the quality of the listening experience M- and the record NM-. There is no reserve.
