Description

THE VELVET UNDERGROUND LIVE AT MAX'S KANSAS CITY:

  • Ultra-Rare Promo (DJ, Radio) Monaural Album
  • Almost-unplayed condition
  • ORIGINAL OWNER
The points noted above describe what's on offer here. I'm the original owner of this record, which I got when it first came out, while working at a college radio station. This LP has been in dry, indoor storage since new, and is a genuinely rare record today.  It's a Radio/DJ promotional copy, as noted on the cover and on the labels, and is of course a first-pressing record. Please see photos for details.
As with many of my records, this one was played only a very few times, and it was then was left at home, while I was far away at college. Never got back to being home again or playing the the records I had there, so the record is still in excellent condition, with only the slightest evidence of having been played.  Plain white sleeve with slight yellowing from age and splits at the seams of both sides and the bottom, from age.
As noted on the cover, this is a monaural promotional LP for broadcast use, and it's Cotillion Records # SD-9500.  Both sides of the label say "Sample Copy Not For Sale", and you can see the orange sticker in the photo of the front cover.  Hopefully you'll enjoy adding this most unusual album to your collection of Lou Reed and the Velvets!
Shipping will be by USPS "Media Mail", and that there's no sales tax.  Please see other record listings and stay tuned for future listings. Many items yet to come, mainly rock and psych, including radio, DJ, and promo releases.  Also many 45s, including promo copies. Thanks for your interest!
