Description
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO
RARE ORIGINAL ISSUE OF THEIR LEGENDARY FIRST ALBUM. IN THE U.K. FIRST PRESSINGS DID NOT COME IN THE FAMOUS BANANA SLEEVE. NOWADAYS THIS LP IS CONTINUALLY REFERENCED, ESPECIALLY BY OTHER ROCK MUSICIANS, BUT IN 1967 WHEN IT WAS RELEASED, HARDLY ANYONE NOTICED, AND EVEN FEWER ACTUALLY BOUGHT IT. CONSEQUENTLY ORIGINAL PRESSINGS ARE VERY RARE. ALTHOUGH RE-ISSUES, WITH THE ICONIC SLEEVE, ARE RELATIVELY COMMON.
1967 VERVE STEREO SVLP 9184
FRONT LAMINATED FLIP-BACK SLEEVE
THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION. EXAMINED IN A CRITICAL LIGHT A COUPLE OF FINE SURFACE MARKS ARE VISIBLE. THESE ARE NOT SIGNIFICANT AND WILL NOT BE AUDIBLE.
THE SLEEVE IS VG+.THERE IS SOME EDGE-WEAR, 1 OR 2 CREASES AND SLIGHT RING-WEAR. (REMARKABLY GOOD FOR IT'S AGE REALLY.)
I have been a record trader for over 20 years and I would say that my grading of records (ie judging the condition of records such as mint, excellent, vg, good, etc.) is accurate 99% of the time (nobody's perfect!) If you win an item and you disagree with my grading, please contact me so that we can resolve the matter amicably. I am always willing to offer a refund.
I send all my records in solid card mailers which are further strengthened with cardboard stiffeners. So you can rely on your prized item arriving in the same condition that it left me. I know how disappointing it is to receive damaged items that have been badly packaged, so I ensure that everything posted by me is professionally packaged and secure.
