Description
You're bidding on an original Verve pressing of the Velvet Underground's first album THE VELVET UNDERGROUND AND NICO (Verve V5008 mono). This is the original version, with the unpeeled banana on the front cover and a picture of the band framed by an upside down male torso on the back. Condition: I would rate the cover as a solid Good, since there's nothing seriously wrong. No writing, tape or stickers; the front cover would rate as VG, with some ring wear discoloration along the bottom. There is a 4"split along the top of part of the cover that holds the record and some damage to the right side of the back cover. The Banana is completely intact. The above pictures accurately show the condition of the cover. The record itself is a solid VG condition, with only shallow scratches undetectable to the touch. The record has been placed in an anti-static nonreactive inner sleeve. Check out my feedback score; you won't be disappointed.
