THE VELVET UNDERGROUND S/T Closet Mix MGM SE-4617 West Coast pressing ASCAP Edition from 1969, 1st U.S. edition on MGM Records.
VINYL VG+ the vinyl looks very clean with little play evident. During the louder segments of "What Goes On" ,"After Hours" , and the chorus to "Jesus"there appears to be some distortion (sounds more "crackly"), though I believe this is a pressing default because I have had other copies of the same pressing that did the same the "closet mix" is very up front and "in your face " as well, and it seems like where there are some light scratches and the sound is louder, there occurs some distortion. Fortunately this only happens a few times during the record ! Every other song is VG+ graded. Definitely still a great listen, I test played the lp and enjoyed it despite the few faults.
COVER G+ with ring wear and edge wear to all edges and spine. The bottom seam is split about 3" from the opening, and the rest of the seam is experiencing paper loss. The upper seam and spine are intact.
Includes original MGM inner sleeve.
