SUPERB ORIGINAL UK 2 LP PRESSING OF A SCARCE ALBUM, ESPECIALLY AS A *PROMO* COPY AND IN SUCH WONDERFUL CONDITION - ONE PRETTY HARD TO BEAT - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A Northern Soul is impressively epic in scope, forging heavy psychedelic sounds infused with a chaotic energy which mirrors the emotional upheaval at the heart of Richard Ashcroft's songs.
Reportedly produced under the influence of excessive drug use, the album is harrowingly intense, its darkly hypnotic momentum steered by Nick McCabe's spiralling guitar leads and Ashcroft's incantatory vocals; tracks like the remarkable "On Your Own," "So It Goes," and the majestically morose "History" are searing evocations of isolation and desperation, soaring yet heartbreaking anthems of disillusionment and loss.

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear, NO writing and just a few spindles on the Side D label - none on the others
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces still retain their DEEP, GLOSSY SHEEN with just some superficial hairlines mostly caused by movement of the records within their inners - this are especially evident on Side One but they have NO real audio consequence - the playback is superb throughout
VINYL Audio: CRYSTAL CLEAR, VERY SHARP AND VERY STRONG EXPANSIVE SOUND. There are NO scratches, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO loud clicks/pops and only some minor surface noise on the lead-ins/run-offs. The sound quality here is simply OUTSTANDING and the LP plays up to a very high standard with NO groove-wear and NO distortion (both records have seen little play). Graded NEAR MINT for audio - SUPERB COPY OF A TREMENDOUS LP AND THEY REALLY DO NOT COME MUCH BETTER THAN THIS
SLEEVE: The original SILVER cover (with *PROMO* sticker) is in practically MINT condition but for a couple of places on the front where the reflective coating has rubbed (please see photos) but this in no way detracts from the CLEAN glass-like reflective quality of this sleeve - BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE AND INCREDIBLY RARE TO FIND LIKE THIS - NEAR MINT
INNER SLEEVES: The 2 inners are MINT - CLEAN and UNMARKED with NO splits or any signs of wear (the LPs are now housed in new inners and will be posted in these to prevent any knifing damage to the originals during transit)
