Description

This auction is for an original copy of Bob Marley & the Wailers' album entitled 'Catch A Fire' on the Island Records label - bought by me back in 1973 !

This is the original rare version featuring the legendary 'Zippo lighter' flip-top hinged outer jacket.

The jacket is in great condition with minimal wear & just a few minor marks (including a light scratch on the flip-up top) plus some adhesive residue where sellotape was previously applied along the rh edge of the flip-up top.

The Catalogue no. is ILPS 9241 with matrix numbers A3U (side 1) & B4U (side 2) - features indicating an original early pressing.

The vinyl itself is in excellent condition with not even any surface marks - it still sounds fantastic ! (to my ears anyway!).

The 'pink rim' labels are in excellent condition with no fading, scuffs, peeling or deterioration & virtually no spindle marks.

Overall this rare record is in remarkably good condition - especially considering it is 40 years old !
