Description
Released in 1988, fourth album Fisherman’s Blues marked a huge change in style for The Waterboys, abandoning their earlier grandiose rock sound for a mixture of traditional Irish and Scottish music, country music and rock and roll.
Although critics were divided upon its release, the LP is now viewed by many as The Waterboys’ finest hour - and the fact it’s their biggest seller would certainly seem to back-up that claim.
Now, the record is being reissued on heavyweight 180g vinyl; a perfect opportunity for old fans to be reacquainted, and for new generations to discover its marvels.
