Description

Ongoing occasional sale of selected items from my personal collection of vinyl and CDs, the vast majority of which have been owned by me from new and have been safely stored in a smoke-free home. I try to describe each item as accurately as possible (vinyl will usually be play-tested) and therefore don't routinely accept returns - but I'm happy to offer a no quibble refund in the unlikely event that significant defects are found which were not called out in the listing.

  • Rare original 1988 UK pressing of The Waterboys classic 4th album 
  • With printed card lyric inner sleeve   
  • Label / catalogue number - Ensign CHEN 5
  • Vinyl matrices - A/3 / B/3
  • I'm also including a small collection of press cuttings from earlier in the band's career 
Condition notes.... 
  • I bought this from new but it never really grabbed me in the same way as the so called 'Big Music' of The Waterboys first 3 albums - as a result the vinyl is barely played and still sounds superb throughout
  • The record also looks fantastic thanks to the addition of a polyliner to the card inner at the point of purchase, thereby preventing the formation of hairlines  
  • The outer sleeve is very close to mint - there's just a tiny bit of shelf wear on the bottom edge but this is barely noticeable and probably wouldn't be called out by other sellers
  • The printed inner is flawless - no splits, tears or ring marks
  • Both labels are also immaculate  
Postage notes.... 
  • Records will be dispatched in a high quality custom mailer
  • Unless the item is new and still sealed I'll remove the record from both the outer sleeve and any printed inner in order to prevent seam splits in transit  
  • UK - I'll combine postage if buying more than one item - please wait for invoice
