Description
This is a great example of the LP 'A Quick One' by The Who.
It's on the UK Reaction label.
It's a mono recording and the catalogue number is 593002. It was released originally in 1966.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve is laminated on both sides and is in fine condition. There is some very minor wear and creasing on the front and the rear. The edges and spine also show some minor wear. The wording along the spine is 100% readable. It states ate the bottom of the rear of the sleeve - 'Cover design by Alan Aldridge - Managed & distributed by Polydor Records Ltd. for the Robert Sigwood Organisation Ltd P 1966 - Printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd., London, W.1.' I've graded the sleeve Ex-.
INNER BAG - It's a plain die cut paper type with an inner light clear plastic sleeve. It is in fine condition with minor creasing and has been graded Ex-.
RECORD - The record is in superb condition. It appears to have been played only a few times. There are some very superficial marks on either side which do not affect the quality. It plays very well on both sides with some minor surface noise and some very occasional pops and clicks on both sides. These blemishes do not detract from the overall quality of record. There are no jumps on any of the tracks on either side.
LABELS - The labels are in great condition and are blue with silver wording. There is a stain on the label on side one which shows up as a darker blue area around the 'reaction' logo but this does not detract from the overall quality of the label. There are minor spindle marks on both labels. It states on the labels - 'Producer - Kit Lambert, Executive Producer - Chris Stamp'. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - 593002 A//2 1 1 1 9 - side two - 593002 B//2 1 1 4. I'm afraid that these matrix numbers are not 100% clear because they are badly stamped but I hope that I'v got them right. I've graded the record as Ex-- which I believe is very fair.
I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. It will be difficult to find this record again.
