Description
This item is a beautiful 180g vinyl 3-LP pressing of the album entitled The Who Live at the Isle of Wight.
It was released by Castle / Sony Records in the UK in 2003.
This 3-LP set captures The Who’s entire performance at the classic concert in 1970, which featured from start to finish Pete Townshend’s rock-opera Tommy. Some of the audio here – particularly Daltrey’s vocal on Young Man’s Blues – is just riveting. As for Tommy, Keith Moon used to put it into proper perspective before the band would play it live, announcing, “Show some respect – it’s a F#%$in’ opera!!”
This is a rare pressing, and is out of print at this point – a nice collectible for fans of the band.
