Description
A UK 1970 A1 B1 1st Press copy of The Who - Live At Leeds released on the Track Record label 2406 001.
This is one of only 300 originally pressed with the black title lettering on the outer sleeve ( the red lettering version is a later edition).
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and has come up spotlessly clean with lustrous gloss retained. A couple of faint scuff marks visible, nothing remotely feelable or that troubles playback. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded EX.
We playtested on a Rega Naia turntable with Aphelion 2 cartridge. This is warm, clean & very dynamic sound, heavyweight and dense, with superb instrument separation that makes you feel like you are there in the audience. A great live concert atmosphere.
The vinyl plays through beautifully with no jumping or skipping, a little very light crackle/noise in a few places, but nothing much and definitely no spoiler of what is a great album.
The cardboard outer sleeve is sturdy & solid with no tears or tape as often found on this cover due to the fragility. Some discolouration & a small stain near the spine plus a sticky label removal mark to the front ( see photos) No writing, tears, splits or ugly tape repairs.
Five out of the 12 original inserts are present ( see photos).
The original British Patent inner sleeve is present & still doing a great job 55 years on!
A super copy for a collector or any Who fan, fully cleaned and playtested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable & play loud!
We have taken lots of photos in good natural daylight so you can see exactly what you are buying. Please take a moment to look at the photos as they form part of the description.
