On August 29th 1970 The Who stepped onto the stage before an audience estimated at 600,000 at the Isle of Wight Festival at a time that, arguably, they were at the top of their game. Much has been written about this iconic piece of music but on this live recording the energy of the band and the audience reaction makes it something really special - just sit back and close your eyes and you'll be there. Although this recording was made more than 40 years ago, the music on these 3 LPs sounds as raw, energetic and fresh as ever
