BRISTOLS No.1 RARE RECORD SHOP *Item for sale* THE WHO ~ Live At Leeds ~ UK 1970 1st Press + All Inserts & Black Print Cover
This is UK 1st pressing of The Who "Live in Leeds", notoriously hard to find in good
condition as most copies were heavily played and the un-laminated cover is thin and
easily damaged. The black cover print only appeared on the first pressings, later issues
were red and blue. There were also several differences in the many inserts that came with
it, different print quality and colour, different paper types and thickness.
The cover on this copy is the best we've seen for years. very lightly creased, a little light
wear to the vertical spine, otherwise the print is bright and the cover is generally clean.
The staples are fine, the pockets are undamaged, it even retains it's original "Sold by
Boots the Chemist" sticker on the reverse.
The inserts are complete, all very clean and hardly creased, the poster has never been
hung and is in perfect shape. Original "Live at Marquee" poster, later copies were changed
to "Live at Leeds'.
The best feature of this copy is the remarkable condition of the vinyl itself. Both labels
are very clean, you can make out some spindle marks, so it has been played a few times.
The vinyl surfaces are in fantastic condition. A couple of very light, inaudible hairline
marks visible when held to the light, looks very clean in natural light. Not mint, but only
lightly played and well looked after.
