Nice copy of this increasingly hard to get 1965 UK very 1st pressing of this classic album on BRUNSWICK, MONO LAT 8616

The condition of the vinyl is a solid VERY GOOD. This record has had it's fair share of plays but the wax has nevertheless retained an impressive lustre. There are a number of small light scuff marks and wispy hairlines, most of which are really only noticeable under a bright light so there is nothing here that is particularly intrusive.

Each label is excellent. The original matt finish and silver text remain nicely intact with the only blemish being some faint spindle traces adjacent to the centre hole on each label.

The iconic front-laminated outer sleeve is again a solid very good. There is barely any scuffing on any of the edges and each corner remains a well defined right angle with very little rubbing. All edges, including the spine, remain rigid with all text on the spine perfectly legible and of course the nipped ends either end of the spine are indicative of the earliest first UK pressing. The opening edges also remain firm with no fraying and there is barely any laminate lifting, with just a few of the usual small laminate creases adjacent and perpendicular to the spine, some of which do impinge slightly upon the spine. All very minor. Most importantly the iconic front side photo remains excellent with barely any colour fading. The reverse side is nicely intact but does suffer from age discolouration (see photo). There is also a small ink scribble (perhaps a name) towards the top left corner. Still very good though.

Finally, the quality of the audio is very good+. Nice tone and clarity throughout with no noticeable distortion either at higher volume or higher frequency. I noticed just a little very light clicking at the beginning of track 3, side 1 but apart from that no clicks, skips, or pops and just some very mild background crackle only really noticeable at the beginning of side 2 and during the quieter moments (there aren't many!) more so on side 2 than side 1. As you would expect, an excellent listen throughout.

Comes in plain white poly-lined inner sleeve which has no tears or splits and remains fully functional, but I do supply a plain white inner, in which the vinyl will be housed for postage and storage purposes, as a matter of course.

In summary, a nice copy of this increasingly rare and sought after original UK first pressing timeless rock classic

On the subject of postage, I take great care in the packaging of all items, using a proper vinyl cardboard mailer along with at least two cardboard stiffeners. I take great care in removing the record from the outer sleeve in order to prevent sleeve damage in transit and I always insert the vinyl, outer sleeve and inner into a clear plastic sleeve, thus adding further protection. 

For this item postage & packaging will be Royal Mail 1st class : UK £3.00, continental Europe £6, and Rest of the World £9.

Mint

Description: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent

Description: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packag­ing might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good

Description: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable sur­face marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good

Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

Fair 

Description: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for prop­erly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor

Description: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Bad

Description: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
