Description
I’ve been an eBay member for over 17 years with over 1700 100% positive feedback. This is a relatively new account for music and memorabilia only.
Records are visually graded, but I do listen to intros for crackle and clarity, and play through any marks.
THE WHO – MY GENERATION – BRUNSWICK MONO 1st PRESSING 1965 – VG+
An excellent example of this classic from 1965. Catalogue number LAT 8616, that appears as LAT.8616 on the labels. Original recording made and licensed by Decca Records Inc. New York U.S.A.
Matrices: Side One: MG10256-2B and Side Two: MG10257-1B there may be other letters around the run-out, but I can’t really see well enough. Tax code (M/T) and Rights Society info on labels.
In natural light both sides look amazing – very glossy. Under a bright light there are some spidery hairlines as to be expected with a record of this age and a very light surface scratch across tracks 2, 3 & 4 on Side One, which I can’t see in natural light. I have played through this and could not hear it.
There are quite a few spindle marks on both labels and one on Side One that continues onto the record across track 6. Once again, I could not hear this. Neither of the marks mentioned can be felt with a finger.
Sound is great. There is a light crackle during the run-ins of both sides, but fine when the music starts.
The cover is “Clarifol” laminated on the front and 1cm of the back at the spine edge – and is better than some I’ve seen. Slight discolouration on the front edges and the open side is a bit rubbed. The back is very clean (as it’s unlaminated, most are dirty). Spine is fresh and readable. Not sure if it’s the original liner, but it looks of a similar age to the rest.
