THE WHO – MY GENERATION
FIRST PRESSING OF THE WHO’S DEBUT ALBUM WITH FANTASTIC SOUND QUALITY

GRADING:
SLEEVE: VG+++ A really fantastic example and one that only marginally falls below a grading of excellent. The laminated front of the sleeve is in really beautiful condition. The colours are bright and clear with no fading. The sleeve is robust unlike many badly cared for sleeves from this era which, as im sure you have experienced, become limp and floppy through repeated use and poor storage methods. The sleeve remains strong and ridged. There is a very small amount of laminate separation at the bottom left corner with the suggestion that the sleeve may once have been flexed at this point. There is practically no feathering at the aperture. There is no edge wear except for some very slight browning to the top left corner. There are a couple of wrinkles at the spine but these are remote from any of the text which is bright, clean and entirely legible. The un-laminated rear of the sleeve shows some slight discolouration but no unsightly staining. The previous owner has put crosses and ticks next to each track in pencil. I am sure that these marks can be erased. As stated, this is a really great sleeve that occupies the hinterland between excellent and very good.
VINYL: VG+ (plays as EX) Sits flatly on the turntable. Vinyl has a few visible scuffs and hairlines. These do not cover a significant proportion of the record. None of the marks on the vinyl are feelable or substantial in any way. Even though there is only minimal marking to the playing surface I was expecting some deterioration in the sound quality due to the age of the media and how notoriously overplayed and abused records of this genre have traditionally been. However the sound quality is FANTASTIC!!! There are very occasional and very light crackles (and I mean light and occasional) but none that is sustained and none that is loud or obtrusive. There is a slight dulling to the track My Generation congruent with some very slight groove wear. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed by this record. An absolute joy.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
