This is the UK 1st Press of 'Quadrophenia' by The Who. This press is complete with earliest flat black Track labels, with a ridge on the outside of the label. It is complete with the early A1//B1//A2//B2 matrix and the matt gatefold sleeve, complete with the 22 page stapled booklet.
The records are in the most superb, Excellent condition. The vinyl is exceptionally glossy, it has clearly only been played a few times. The labels are also superb. The black is solid and bold and the text is sharp. There is only the very lightest spindle wear. On playing the audio quality is marvellous - warm, bold and extremely clear. There are brief moments of slight background noise but they are insignificant, it sounds fantastic. The vocals are crisp and the backing sharp, every detail can be heard.
The original gatefold sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The black is bold and the image is exceptionally clear and unworn. There is just a little corner wear. The 22 page stapled booklet is complete but the inside pages are loose. The whole cover still feels very solid, the edges are extremely firm and the spine is firm with clear text.
