AWESOME "WHO'S NEXT" SEALED ALBUM w/RARE HYPE STICKER - PRICED TO MOVE!!!
A gorgeous early pressing, sealed album of The Who entitled, "Who's Next". The original first pressing album was released in 1971 and I believe this copy is from 1973, making it an early second pressing (according to all data I found on Discogs). That would make this sealed album 45 years old now and released on MCA Records MCA-2023 in NM- condition overall.
This particular album is a tough one to find for those hard-core Who collectors... This sealed album also has the bonus of the rare movie reel hype sticker on it referring to the Rock Opera "Tommy". It is such a cool hype sticker and a very clever marketing tool used by MCA Records. Can't remember the last time I saw this sealed album with this rare hype sticker on it.
The spine is gorgeous, the seams are gorgeous and the mouth is nice and tight and sealed. Four very nice corners and a breathe hole on front cover, right by John's foot. No issues whatsoever other than a small bit of the tight shrink pulling the bottom right corner and creating a light dog's ear bend, but it is quite minimal itself... I must note that during manufacturing, the record plant's paste machine must have rubbed against the image and pulled a tiny bit of the graphics with it (you can see it just over John's left shoulder). That was done at the plant and underneath the sealed shrink. Just the way it was made! I have described this total LP as accurately as possible and it will be a fantastic addition to any collector's records. This is arguably The Who's greatest album and this version comes with the rarely seen movie reel hype sticker on it. I have priced this album accordingly, and also based on the fact that it has a tiny dog ear effect on bottom right corner. This is one for the discriminating and picky collectors.
