THIS IS A NEAR MINT COPY OF THE WHO'S 1976 COMPILATION ALBUM THE STORY OF THE WHO,  IN THE ORIGINAL GATEFOLD SLEEVE WITH THE FOUR PAGE BOOKLET ATTACHED TO THE INNER GATEFOLD. IT HAS BEEN IN CLEAN, DRY STORAGE FOR MANY YEARS AND IS IN SUPERB ORIGINAL CONDITION .

IT INCLUDES THE STANDOUT TRACKS FROM THE BAND'S OUTPUT OF THE 1960'S AND 70'S, AND SERVES AS A "BEST OF" COMPILATION OF THEIR HIT SINGLES, FROM "MAGIC BUS" TO "WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN" ALONG WITH SOME ALBUM TRACKS, NOTABLY FROM "TOMMY".

THE VINYL IS NEAR MINT, AND WAS PROBABLY UNPLAYED UNTIL TESTED BY US. BOTH RECORDS DELIVER SUPERB AUDIO WITH NO SKIPS, STICKS, POPS OR BACKGROUND NOISE.

LABELS: ALL CLEAN AND UNDAMAGED WITH NO SPINDLE TRACES.

THE MACNEILL PRESS GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, WITH NO DAMAGE OR MARKS AND AN UNSPOILED FOUR-PAGE INSERT TELLING THE STORY OF THE BAND. THERE IS A CATALOGUE OR LIBRARY NUMBER WRITTEN ON THE BACK COVER, BUT IT IS IN THE TOP CORNER ON A VERY DARK AREA AND IS ONLY NOTICEABLE WHEN TITLED IN STRONG LIGHT.

THE INNER SLEEVES ARE THE ORIGINAL WHITE PAPER BAGS.

Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches.
