This is an astonishing recording from the premier Mod band, that saw release in The UK on Track Records and in the US on Decca.
The WHO were stablemate with The Jimi Hendrix Experience, who had 'Electric Ladyland' the other incredible adventurous double album on this lable.
The WHO had maintained a charting single presence right throughout the 1960s, and had psych peers in The Move, Small Faces and Traffic, but nobody expected THIS to come! They had created something that transcended mere pop rock - something sophisticated, provocative and ....mind expanding.
The hits kept on coming. The very special "PINBALL WIZARD" is on this lp of course, the best progressive rock single to hit the charts to date!
The WHO 'done it' and Pete Townshend was a true pioneer - the band famously performing this freshly recorded work as a highlight at Woodstock.
Condition;
The VINYL is MINT.
FULL SHINE - spotless!
The LABLES are NEAR MINT., very few signs of play, sparse spindle evident.
The LAMINATED TRIPLE GATEFOLD COVER is NEAR MINT with NO issues - a faint sticker removal evidence in one small area on the rear.
The Lyrics Booklet is included in decent condition, some slight aging.
