This is an early UK press of 'Tommy' by The Who. The vinyl is complete with the A1/B2/A1/B3 matrix, the flat, no ridge Track labels and heavy vinyl. The Howards Printers fold-out gatefold sleeve is complete with the original booklet. The records are also complete with their original polylined inner sleeves. However what makes this press really special is its rare fabulous condition.
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT+ condition. Both records have a stunning bright shine, every track looks absolutely sensational. There are just a couple of the very lightest hairlines. On playing the sound quality is fantastic, rich, vibrant and exceptionally clear. The Track labels are completely clean. The black is bold and the silver text is sharp. There is only the slightest spindle wear on each record.
Both records come complete with the original polylined British patent, Made in England inner sleeves in NEAR MINT condition.
The booklet is in MINT condition. It shows no sign of wear or age at all.
The Ernest J Day sleeve is in EXCELLENT+ condition. This sleeve is also sensational. The black is bold and the blue is bright. There is just the slightest edge wear. It is completely intact and the edges and spine are still exceptionally firm. The text is sharp and the image is completely unworn. Inside is in absolutely fantastic MINT condition. The whole sleeve is solid, apart from a little edge wear this sleeve is just the same as the day it was bought.
