THE WHO - WHO'S NEXT. HMV CLASSIC COLLECTION. LIMITED EDITION BOX SET.

1988 RELEASE WITH CERTIFICATE AND BOOKLET. NUMBER 355 OF 1500.

Here's a nice one for you, an unplayed, limited edition "Who's Next", released as one of the HMV "CLASSIC COLLECTION". HMV produced only 1500 0f these sets, on both vinyl and CD. They did this for a certain number of artists (Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed etc) who they describe as having set themselves apart from others by producing albums of critical acclaim. No arguments on that one, "Whos Next" is considered by many as being possibly their finest album. It's certainly one of my favourites. It comes with a glossy 12 page booklet and a certificate signed by their Managing Director. It's housed in a sturdy box with a lift off top, which has a photo embossed on the front, along with the limited edition number and an embossed "classic collection" logo. The record, sleeve, booklet and certificate are all in an "as new" condition. The record has never been played! No scratches, marks,or scuffs anywhere. The sleeve is superb, having rarely been taken out of the box. The certificate is flat, clean, no rips or stains, and the booklet is just the same. Amazing. Even the box, which is now 23 years old, is in a great condition. The MINIMUM amount of ageing, and one small scuff on one side. No damage to any of the lettering on the edge of the box. I had a look through the booklet as I was listing this. It has some great pic's and a detailed synopsis of the origins of the songs on "Who's Next". It's a great piece, and highly collectable.
