THE WHO

'WHO ARE YOU?'

1974* DOUBLE LIVE LP

RUTHLESS RHYMES**
GLC 414

An enigmatic unoffical WHO double album, with a title that's the same as THE WHO'S 1978 official album, although none of the tracks of that album are on this one. Obviously makes sense since this album came out years before that one. Beneath the track listings on the cover it says "SAN FRANCISCO 1974", only The Who did not play San Francisco in 1974. I have it on good authority that this recording came from the Philadelphia Spectrum, December 4, 1973. The front cover insert is on the back and the back is on the front but they could easily be reversed; I just though the back cover presented a clearer picture. Last unusual aspect - the record labels. One is yellow, the other blue. Neither state **RUTHLESS RHYMES, which is supposed to be the label, but rather "Great Live Concerts". The only other text on the labels (beside indicating what side it is) is 33 1/3 RPM, STEREO, ALL RIGHTS RESERVED/ALL WRONGS REVERSED. However, GLC 414 does appear in the vinyl runout.

Cover is Excellent to Near Mint in the shrink wrap, depending on how fussy you are. Vinyl appears to be about the same. In the category of unofficial WHO releases, this one ranks at pretty darn rare.
