THE WHO "WHO'S NEXT"
AN EXCELLENT RECORD AND EXCELLENT SLEEVE.
TRACK, SETREO 2408 102 FIRST PRESSING, INCLUDING THE EXTREMELY RARE FIRST PRESSING HEAD HUNTERS INNER SLEEVE.
RELEASED IN 1971.
First Pressing Matrix Numbers : Side 1, 2408102 A#1 followed by 1 2 , MG 12888 is hand etched into the vinyl. Side2: 2408102 B#2 420 followed by 1 1 2 5.
An Outstanding Album from The Who.
The Record is in very good condition. The Labels are excellent, original matt black Track, fairly coarse labels with a distinctive inner groove. Both Labels are very clean and show minimal signs of any spindle marking and there is no wear to the centre holes. No writing on the labels. MADE IN Gt BRITAIN text on the label. The vinyl is thick heavy 1st pressing.
The record plays extremely well, virtually no background noise, only very slight to run ins where needle has dropped as is common, and very slight on the very quietest parts, overall a fabulous record.
The Vinyl surface is excellent, clean and has an excellent sheen, wonderful thick early 70's Track vinyl, Superb vinyl.!! The record plays through very well. Some feint visible surface marks are noticable and then only when viewed under a very strong light, as is normally the case with older and played records, other than these the only other blemish is very fine light highline surface mark on side 1. Overall in very good condition and the record plays extremely well on both sides.
The sleeve is the VERY First Pressing Issue which has the code numbers feintly hidden in the clouds to the top left hand corner, MacNeil Press Ltd parrallel to the spine.
The Sleeve is in very good condition, thin card with a Full Matt Finish Sleeve, minimum signs of any wear, light edge wear through storage only. There are No nasty creases, No tears, No writing, No rips or split edges. Light surface tear from an original sticker removal in clouds top right is the only blemish on the sleeve, but even this is diguised within the clouds. The opening edges are sharp and show only minor signs of wear. The thin spine is rigid, some light surface wear, crease free, most important all of the text is still intact. Original Sleeve printed and made by the MacNeil Press Ltd.
Record comes complete with the Original Extremely Rare Poly-lined Paper Inner " Head Hunters " Sleeve which suggests Get A Head. This was only issued with a handfull of first releases and is quite rare to find a fully complete. The vertical edges have split and have been repaired in the past with clear tape which is now beginning to age and come loose. Light creasing and wear, will no doubt press out and can be properly repaired.
Rare complete 1st pressing record, and no doubt getting much harder to find!!
Record will be posted in fully protective packaging and record posted in new inner sleeve .
