Description
Absolutely beautiful copy of the original 1939 first-ever release of the Wizard of Oz soundtrack featuring Judy Garland, on Decca 4-78rpm album set No. 74. Includes the original pressing of Over the Rainbow, a record which in itself is quite valuable. A truly excellent copy, complete with the impossibly rare original booklet insert. All four discs are E, shiny and clean, with only a few light scuffs that don't affect the play. They all play just beautifully with no issues at all. No pops or noise beyond what a brand new 78 always has. These are just beautiful discs. The cover is remarkably well intact as well, with a perfectly clean and readable untorn spine. A little fraying at the very top and bottom, but not torn the way they commonly are. The boards are fully intact with stunning artwork, and just a bit of wear at th edges, which are frayed in places. Soft corners also, and slightly loose binding, but overall just a beautiful copy, as you can see. Truly a top original, very hard to beat. The discs include:
-Over the Rainbow / The Jitterbug (a song that was omitted from the final version of the movie)
-Munchkinland Part 1 / Part 2
-If I Only Had a Brain / If I Only Had a Heart
-The Merry Old Land of Oz / We're Off to See the Wizard
