YES - "THE YES ALBUM"
1971
2400 101 ATLANTIC STEREO
ORIGINAL UK 1ST PRESS ON THE MEGA-RARE 'RED/PLUM' ATLANTIC LABEL
IN ALMOST 'UNPLAYED' CONDITION...2-3 PLAYS AT MOST, LOOKS AND PLAYS FABULOUS FOR A 40 YEAR OLD LP!
WITH ORIGINAL INNER SLEEVE AND SUPERB GATEFOLD SLEEVE
PLAYGRADED: not simply glanced at with a superficial visual grading, fully played and graded throughout (listened to on headphones - the most revealing playgrade method, with no exterior audio distractions)
OUTER SLEEVE:
Superb original gatefold unlaminated sleeve by MacNeill Press Ltd, London, S.E.1.
Excellent condition throughout with not much wear at all. One of the nicer ones you will find.
TOP AND BOTTOM EDGES:
Nothing visible, hint of a few touch ups to bottom edge, but it looks excellent so nothing to gripe about.
OPENING EDGES:
Moderate thumbing and light wear.
SPINE:
Perfectly legible, nice and still nearly square, not squashed flat, has a couple of light touch ups here and there but looks very nice indeed.
VINYL:
2 4 0 0 1 0 1 A // 1
2 4 0 0 1 0 1 B // 1
Looks awesome under normal daylight and virtually unmarked! Under direct halogen there are a few very faint hairlines (sleeve removal marks) that cause the light crackle on intros, quieter sections and in between songs - as you'd expect from any vinyl. The main audio is excellent throughout (just the light crackle on quieter parts of songs such as Perpetual Change), wonderful tone and volume. Not one single pop or click throughout. I seriously doubt you could find a significantly better copy of this very rare UK first press.
LABELS:
Nice and clean with thankfully NO graffiti. Just a couple of faint spindle traces! Barely played!
INNER SLEEVE:
Original poly lined inner sleeve with "Plastic bags can be dangerous" warning and date code of 0471 (April 1971).
Condition is excellent with no seam splits, just a few light creases.
Has writing on one side in both top corners - see pics.
POSTAGE AND PACKING:
I recycle as much existing material as possible and reuse record mailers if they are of good enough quality. Edges and corners are reinforced with packing tape. Stiffeners are used to strengthen and support the record.
Vinyl is removed from the outer gatefold to prevent any 'knifing' to the outer sleeve.
I ship in the UK using Royal Mail 2nd Class for items under £41 in value. A certificate of postage is obtained for every item. Signed for delivery is required for any item over £41 in value and costs an extra £0.70. If extra insurance is required up to £500 for shipping then a specific quote will be provided upon request.
Feedback is left for buyers once they have contacted me and left feedback stating they are happy with their purchase. Should there be any issues, please contact me first.
In the unlikely event you are unhappy with your purchase please contact me to return the item for a full refund. I will not accept disputes for partial refunds nor threats of negative feedback - these unacceptable forms of behaviour will be reported to eBay.
