THE ZODIAC - COSMIC SOUNDS
A truly excellent condition copy of this long deleted, rare and sought after psych/acid/experimental rock gem
Year/Label : 1967 ELEKTRA UK Label number : EKS-74009 STEREO Matrix numbers : EKS-74009 A-1, EKS-74009 B-1Excellent plus (EX+) condition vinyl - flat and retaining it's original jet black lacquered sheen and in normal daylight comes across as unmarked - a real gleamer. With very close inspection under a bright light you might just be able to detect one or two small and wispiest of wispy hairlines and a couple of equally small and extremely faint paper scuff lines - these are negligible and of course purely superficial. The labels are again excellent plus (EX+) - near perfect with just a few very small and very faint rogue spindle trails adjacent to the centre hole on each label...nothing really. Clearly, this is a record that has been played only sparingly. A solid very good plus (VG+) condition fully laminated outer sleeve with firm edges devoid of any scuffing except for a 2cm scuff in the middle of the spine which DOES obscure some of the spine text (see photo). The corners remain well defined right angles with minimal rubbing on each and there is some sporadic vertical laminate lifting on the front side adjacent to the spine. There are also a number of non-obvious 0.5-1cm laminate "crinkles"/surface creases adjacent and perpendicular to the spine on both sides. The opening edges remain firm with no fraying and all colours, text and beautiful art work remain in excellent shape with great definition still. In summary, some minor blemishes but remaining fully functional and eminently presentable. Excellent plus (EX+) stereo sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, distortion, clicks or background crackle. Great tone and clarity throughout. This 60's psych LP can only be described as "far out, man"! Comes with original and lovely condition poly-lined inner sleeve with no splits or edge fraying, barely any creasing and just some mild age discolouration. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original.
Long lost, very hard to find experimental psych gem and difficult to believe that this copy is 58 years of age!

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 55 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window!
