Extremely rare copy of the Zombies 1968 single 45 Butchers Tale b/w This Will Be Our Year on Date Records 2-1612 in the original Date sleeve.
I purchased this record in 1968 and it is from my personal collection. It is not a reissue. The two songs are from the Zombies LP Odessey and Oracle and this single was only released in the US and Canada and not in the UK or Australia.
The record is in "NM" condition; matrix numbers end with 1A/1A (see photos).
The sleeve is in "NM" condition; the song title is written on the top left corner of the sleeve (see photos).
I grade conservatively based on the following criteria:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect or unplayed record.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
“EX+” close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
“EX” a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
“VG+” There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
