THEM - " THE ANGRY YOUNG THEM (THEM FIRST) " (1965), The Decca Recording Company Ltd./King Record Co. Ltd. Japan (GXF 2028) Mono, 1978.

Exceedingly rare, 1978, Japanese Mono LP issue of the classic '65 Them LP.

Japanese issue and pressing - pressed to Japanese standards, kept in the prefered mono and in such great condition, this LP sounds fantastic.

Includes lyric insert - see photo.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve.

NOTE: this record is one of a collection I have just bought from an ex-Decca employee. All the records in his collection were samples of records pressed by Decca in England or licenced by Decca to be pressed and sold in other countries around the world. Essentially, these LPs are quality control testers - by this, I do not mean pre-release promo test pressings, but normal commercial issues randomly selected by Decca to make sure their high standards were being kept up. Generally, these LPs have hardly been played... many have clearly had no more than a couple of quick test-plays. Even those which have clearly been used a bit more, have very well looked after and only ever played on a good quality, well set up turntable. Please read the condition description below for acurate detail on the condition of this particular LP.

Sorry no OBI for this LP or any other Japanese issued items from this collection - the original owner assured me that although these LPs came from the standard commercial pressing, as they were to be tested in-house and never sold, they were sent to him without.


CONDITION:

VINYL =  EXCELLENT CONDITION (No scratches, no marks, no groove damage, no spindle trails, no surface noise, etc. Even under a bright grading lamp, this LP is free from paper scuffs, etc. Look and sounds, pretty much like new. I know it's had one test play by me and at least one by it's original owner, but I doubt it's had that many more spins in it's entire lifetime. A great example.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = EXCELLENT- (No rips, tears, big creases, heavy ring-wear, etc. Being a matte finish sleeve it is showing some very light scuffing and the very lightest of creasing around the corners. Also the white rear sleeve is not quite a clean as it once was. All wear from time in storage rather than use and abuse though - see photos for further clarification)
