Description
Hello and welcome to my auction for what I believe to be a rare item: the first pressing of the first single released by Thin Lizzy.
Details: 7” single incorrectly attributed to Thin Lizzie, dated 1970.
Label: Parlophone / EMI
Reference: DIP.513
Made in Ireland, Recorded at Trend Studios, Dublin
Side A: THE FARMER (Phil Lynott) , Matrix 7XCEL 125-1 stamped on vinyl
Side B: I NEED YOU (John Dardis), Matrix 7XCEL 126-1 stamped on vinyl
Also the letters KT are stamped on the vinyl on both sides
This record is extremely rare, only 283 copies were ever sold. Offered to you with what I believe to be the original Parlophone / EMI cover.
Condition. See pictures for details. I am not a record dealer, and I try to provide an honest and truthful assessment of what I see.
Cover is in good condition, if a bit creased. There are small remains of sellotape on the opening, both sides. There are no tears to the paper.
Vinyl is in minimum Excellent condition, but probably greater than that. Looks hardly played at all. The label on side B has a light mark, only visible when you hold the record a certain way, however there is no depression so it is not a scratch, and does not extend onto the vinyl. Overall the single is in super condition with little or no wear. I am confident the buyer will not be disappointed.
To ensure the buyers satisfaction, I offer a return service. I have not played this record, due to my record player being very old and cannot guarantee a good needle.
I am happy to answer any questions.
