Description
This item is Third Man Records Vault release #36: Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Trout Mask Replica. The classic groundbreaking album that was out of print for nearly thirty years is presented here, on two 180-gram LPs of "fruitcake fish-scale" colored vinyl, remastered from the original safety masters stored in the Zappa family vault. Also included is a 7-inch white vinyl copy of the French-only single Pachuco Cadaver backed with Wild Life, a first-ever repressing inside a replica paper picture sleeve.
In addition to the vinyl, this box set also contains: a Trout Mask Replica canvas tote bag, a fabric patch, a replica trout mask, and a poetic epithet for Don Van Vliet by Jack White.
The LPs and the single in this set are unsealed, but they are in brand new condition. They have been sitting safely on a shelf between other records in my collection since I received them new in the mail from Third Man Records. Honestly, the most handling these records have ever received was when I took the photos for this eBay listing (and I was SUPER careful doing so). All vinyl is in unplayed, mint condition, and the LP sleeve is in excellent condition with some minor corner shelf wear. The single sleeve is in mint or near mint condition.
