Description:
THROBBING GRISTLE
20 Jazz Funk Greats
+ POSTER Industrial Label
This is the Classic and rare album by Throbbing Gristle, 20 Jazz Funk Greats. It comes complete with the very rare poster.
Track Listing: 20 Jazz Funk Greats; Beachy Head; Still Walking; Tanith; Convincing People; Exotica; Hot on the Heels of Love; Persuasion; Walkabout; What a Day; Six Six Sixties.
Label/Cat Number/Type: Industrial Records IR0008. Stereo.
Label Condition: Mint and beautiful clean examples that show only the odd, faint and light spindle mark. The record has been played only half a dozen times in total.
Country of Manufacture: Great Britain.
Original Year of Release: 1979
Rarity: Included with just 2000 of this pressing was the poster of the band outside KFJC Radio Stations in San Jose, California. (Please see the poster picture).
The full line up were: Chris Carter: Roland synthesisers, sequencers, rhythms and vocals; Peter Christopherson: Tape, vibes, cornet and vocals. Genesis P-Orridge: Bass guitars, violin, vibes, synthesiser and vocals and Cosey Fanni Tutti: Satellite lead guitar, gizmo guitar, synthesiser, cornet and vocals.
This copy is NEAR MINT, having played only half a dozen times
Even the delicate cover is in excellent shape. it must rank as one of musics? rarest poster inserts,
Cover Grade and Format: Excellent
Poster: The poster is unmounted and in excellent shape. There is some liquid staining on the reverse, which only shows on the front as some slight yellow staining between Peter Christopherson's legs. How apt.
Vinyl Condition/Visual Grading: Mint, this is justified here. An immaculate copy that appears virtually unmarked. Super clean and shiny.
