Originally released on United Artists in 1969. Here we have the creative songwriting prowess and the hard blues-rock guitar talent of San Franciscan Chris Bond, meet with the heavy driving rhythm section of Philly born George Emme & Tom Schaffer. Christopher Bond moved from the land of Blue Cheer, where he honed his skills, to the East coast. It was in Philly where he hooked up with these 2 cats and formed the finest hard rock group, next to The Nazz, that Philly ever saw. This was the sound that Black Sabbath was looking for, but I know for a fact, Thunder And Roses had it first! It was outstanding performances at The Electric Factory and smaller psychedelic clubs like The Trauma, that made this group one of the best groups around. Unfortunately, "I Love A Woman" or "White Lace And Strange" did not hit the charts like they should have, and a second album never happened no matter how much "King Of The Black Sunrise" had a lot of people foaming at the mouth for a follow up. The bluesy riffing on this album is top notch and the tone is to die for. With songs like, "I Love A Woman", "Red House", "Dear Dream Maker" & "Open Up Your Eyes", I can see the colours emanating all around from a Fender Stratocaster and a Fender Jazz bass. Don't know what happened to George or Tom, but Chris Bond became a producer and arranger for Philly's own Hall & Oats back in the mid-70's. I want you guys to know what an amazing album you left us with!

LP has been professional cleaned and in cold storage for at least 20 years. One owner(90%- OR see below), I am the one that opened and played most items. Most items have been played around purchase date, recorded to CD in the 80's and put into storage. Stored in plastic LP bag and cataloged. Anything that has been played several times and played during the 70's will be downgraded to at least NM or EX, depending on the wear. 40% of the items were also purchased from a Warner Bros. retired executive and may be first or second run from 1st(original) pressing.
Shipping Policy:
- I will send your parcel 2-3 days normally after receiving payment, allow more time holidays and weekends, I am not a record selling business, this is a studio collection that has been purchased. I'm a one man crew and will work hastily to get your order out, intrusions occur but I will make sure that your item is handled and packaged properly, 5 days maximum if travel or incidents occur, have patience you will receive your item in a reasonable time. I have no affect on the shipping times. Some delays are happening in USA and Int'l these days due to various national and local issues.
- For Int'l packages if you don't receive shippers information I will make sure to have tracking #'s on hand. I send tracking numbers directly when I receive that information upon mailing. US Priority mail I will track if the package does not arrive 7 days after mailing.
- If you do not agree with the item condition, please contact me. We will find a solution together.
- We are just human so we also make mistakes, but we try to avoid... Please do not rate negative rashly, because we do our very best to make you happy. These items have been resting for you for many, many years!
- IMPORTANT: Collecting is allowed, but payment within 10 days required! Payments should be sent within 5 days of auction closing.
