TISM’s second single. This is the first pressing on translucent white vinyl.
Following their first single, which was emblazoned with the name TISM, and was famously sealed on all four sides, meaning that to open it, one must cut into the packaging, TISM went to the other end of the spectrum with their second single.
Released with nothing to indicate it was actually a TISM release, this has been a collector’s item for decades, with unwitting punters accidentally getting rid of their copies of this record due to not knowing what it was. Incidentally, even the etchings on the inner ring of the record have no indication as to what side is which.
This copy is in great condition. A sticker on the plastic cover listed it as Excellent + condition when I purchased it, though I’d go even further and mark it as near mint. There are a few hardly noticeable marks on the inner label, which I assume are a result of being touched against the spindle of a record player. Though to see them, one has to make sure the record is in the right light, which I’ve tried to emulate in the photos above. It has been played at least once by me to ensure it was in fact this single, and to also hear the quality of the vinyl. There are some definite clicks and pops in the sound, though I would wager this is due to the mastering and/or pressing of the vinyl itself, as my other copy of this sounds exactly the same.
