TOAD Tomorrow Blue (Hallelujah X 626) RARE Swiss Psych Original + Insert MINT-
Very RARE original Swiss first pressing of Toad`s second album "Tomorrow Blue" on Hallelujah Records (1972).
Switzerland`s very own epigonal Hendrix blues-rock trio hammers it out, with just a remaining hint of psychedelia added into the mix, for good measure. Surprisingly, the band from Basel morphed out of much-revered psych-jazzers Brainticket ("Cottonwood Hill") into something akin to early metal (can anyone here still spell "Krokus"?): No mean feat in itself, one daresay. Finally, sound engineer Martin Birch must have recognised talent in this wild bunch, as he wouldn`t otherwise have spent precious time off work with regular client Deep Purple to twiddle these here alpine knobs, eh? Say what? Can`t hear you, too damn loud!
