Description

Up for auction is a vintage copy of the Tom Waits album Closing Time originally released in the U.S. on Asylum Records (SD 5061) in 1973.

-Guaranteed vintage '70s pressing
-2nd State "blue clouds" Asylum labels -Artisan mastering etchings in deadwax
-Original inner sleeve w/ lyrics
-No UPC/bar code on cover

Note:
This copy has the rare Artisan mastering marks in both deadwax run-outs.  The mark looks like a small square with two antennae sticking out. These pressings are considered by collectors to often have superior sound quality.

Condition:
Cover is nice, with only light signs of wear or age.  Front looks clean, light rubbing top and bottom middle.  Seams are nice, no splits, but show some light rubbing here and there along the edges..  Corners are sharp, with light rub.  Nicely preserved cover.
Grade: Excellent (EX)

Vinyl is nice, still has much of its original shine.  Both sides have a few very light superficial hairlines and marks, but nothing deep or serious.  Labels are clean, unmarked.  Has some light pressing noise on the run-in grooves, but once the music kicks in, it's not really too noticeable or distracting.  Not audiophile clean, but still a good vintage listening copy.
Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)
