Description
Up for auction is a very rare copy of the classic Tom Waits album "The Heart Of Saturday Night" originally released on Asylum Records (7E-1015) in 1974.

Note: Most promo copies of this album have a large promo sticker affixed to the front. This one does not, which makes it more rare and desirable.
Condition: The cover is still in decent condition--these matte finish covers were very prone to wear, but this one has held up pretty well. Front is bright and colorful, no significant ring wear, just some light rubbing here and there. Seams are strong, no splits but show some light crazing. Back shows moderate ring wear and rubbing. Corners are rubbed. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+), better than most VG copies.
Lyric sheet is intact, no tears, but shows folding creases and age spotting.
The vinyl is in very nice condition, still has a nice shine to it. No obvious scratches or scuffs, just a few very faint small hairlines probably from taking the record out of the paper inner sleeve a few times. Labels look nice, though Side Two label has a very light stain in upper left, not a big deal. Play-tested, the record sounds nice, generally clean and clear. Not audiophile clean, but none of these originals are, and for an original, it is well-preserved and cared for. Grade: Excellent (EX).
