Description

TOM WAITS
NIGHTHAWK AT THE DINER
UK TEST PRESSING 1975.
SYSP 903
BEFORE I GET STARTED THE BAD NEWS IS THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE LP HERE. IT IS A TEST PRESSING OF THE SECOND SIDE ONLY. WANT TO MAKE THAT CLEAR. I DON'T HAVE THE FIRST SIDE AND I HAVE LOOKED EVERYWHERE!!!!!
THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THIS TEST PRE|SSING COMES IN A PRE PRODUCTION PROOF SLEEVE. THERE WERE VERY FEW OF THESE MADE AND THE AIM WAS TO HELP SELL THE LP INTO RECORD SHOPS.
THIS ALONE IS A VERY JUICY ITEM AND UNIQUE. THERE ARE NO FLAPS AND THE SLEEVE IS NOT GLUED TOGETHER. BASICALLY IT WAS PRINTED GATEFOLD SIZED AND THEN STAPLED TOGETHER TO GIVE AN IDEA OF HOW THE FINISHED SLEEVE WOULD LOOK.
SO A UNIQUE ITEM FOR A WAITS FAN.
THE PROOF SLEEVE IS IN VG+ CONDITION. SOME CREASES AND MARKS BUT IS VERY UNIQUE AND WOULD BE GOOD TO FRAME OR ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION.
THE TEST PRESSING IS EX MINUS - JUST ONE SPINDLE MARK ON EITHER SIDE.
THE NAME TOM WAITS IS STAMPED ON THE INNER SLEEVE
