Up for auction is a nice original pressing of the debut Tom Waits album Small Change, originally released in the U.S. on Asylum Records (7E 1078) in 1976:
-Guaranteed original First Pressing, NOT reissue -Original "blue clouds" Asylum labels -9-17-76 pressing date etched in deadwax
-SRC Specialty Recording Co. symbol in deadwax
-Original inner sleeve w/ lyrics -NO UPC/bar code on cover -Vinyl comes in poly audiophile protective inner sleeve
Note: Most copies sold as "original" pressings on eBay are NOT first pressings, which have the 9-17-76 pressing date etched in the deadwax--these true originals are increasingly difficult to come by.

Condition: The cover is nice, still has its original shine.  Front looks clean and colorful, has a crease in upper right corner, and light rub top middle.  Back cover has some loss along right edge (see photo).  Corners are sharp with just a hint of rub on a couple.  Seams are strong, no splits.  Titles are clear on spine.  Still nicely preserved original. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)

Vinyl also looks very nice, still retains its original glossy shine.  No apparent scratches or scuffs, but under a strong light, just some faint superficial signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a few times.  Labels show no wear around spindle holes.  Former owner's name written on Side One label (see photo).  Has a slight storage warp that does not affect audio quality.
