TOM WAITS-NIGHTHAWKS AT THE DINER 1975 ASYLUM RECORDS GATEFOLD 2 LP'S WHITE LABEL PROMO COPY 7E-2008 IN A SOLID VG(cover)-STRONG VG+ CONDITION. MOSTLY CLEAN VINYL!! If you ever wanted to be entertained while sitting in your living room but thinking you are in the center of a smoky, jazz club, look no further than this fantastic release from the one and only Tom Waits in this auction. One could consider the record near a spoken word, avant-garde poetic record as well as the stories behind the music speak volumes on their own. Some of the standout cuts include Emotional Weather Report, Better Off Without A Wife, Spare Parts & the monumental Nighthawk Postcards. All fans of the most unique Mr. Waits needs this one in their collection, an absolute essential!!
The records are both in an easy VG+ condition with all I feel maybe needed is a "real" cleaning to side 3. This is just a suggestion as the record's side plays well throughout as is as does the rest of the vinyl. The gatefold cover has a couple of issues. The lower right hand corner is dinged pretty good(see picture), there is minor wear along the edges, minor rubs on the other corners, a Demonstration Not For Sale stamp in the upper right hand back corner and there is some light aging as well. Both of the original inner sleeves are intact. A fantastic buy!!
