TOMMY JETT-45-“Groovy Little Trip” b/w Send Me Some Lovin’”-Jox Records #JO-060-DJ Issue-MONSTER & HOLY GRAIL 1966 San Antonio TEXAS Garage-Punk. Most of you know the MEGA-Killer A side from assorted comps-TEXAS FLASHBACK in particular-if not, a mean hybrid of the Yardbirds “I’m A Man” crossed with the Count V’s “Psychotic Reaction”-savage Yardbirds-Rave-up double time fuzz lead guitar break and a killer guttural lead vocal with trippy acid-laced lyrics. A-1 track. Easily on our ‘Top 10’ hits list! B side is like on the other end of the spectrum-R&B drenched version of the classic “Send me Some Lovin’”-almost calypso tempo at times.
