Description

I had this album advertised a couple of weeks ago with a starting price of £2000.00.  This created a lot of interest but there were no takers that week.  The album is now relisted with a more realistic starting price of £50.00 !.                                             

All In The First Day was originally recorded in London in 1970 in a home studio and put on disc in 1972. Only 100 copies  were ever pressed and this record album is one of those 100 !.    One of the rarest acid folk discs ever.     It was recorded on a two track mono channel unit and this album has all the elements of the magical U.K folk years with acoustic guitars, bass, handpercussion, and male/female harmonies and singing, with some small parts on violin, various reverbs,  and electric wahwah guitar touches. Some of the band have stated that they were very much influenced by the Sgt Peppers album and the music of Bob Dylan.     The music reminds us of 'Incredible String Band and is as good as Hangmans Beautiful Daughter,  All tracks are amazing, no fillers on this album.  For many collectors this is the best unknown underground release ever!  and for many "there are no greater heroes".

The tracks on the album are~

SIDE ONE.      1) The Snowdon Song.  2) Eclipse Of The Moon.  3) Meg II.  4) Snugglyug.  5) Apocalypso.  6) Sargasso Sea.    

SIDE TWO.     1) Swordsman Of Samoa.  2) There Are No Greater Heroes.  3) Waltz For A Spaniel.  4) Hole In My Heart.  5) Morrison heathcliff.  6) Don't Sing This Song.  7) Homecoming.

As you can see from the photographs this record is in near mint condition, with only one very faint line on side two, which does't affect the music one little bit!.  Throughout the album there are no crackles to be heard, no jumps, no nothing, it was as if it was made yesterday!.      There is no spindle wear whatsoever!!!!!.

 The disc has a plain white label, with cut out song titles glued to the label.  The matrix on the runoff lines are 'EDEN LP 40 A  & EDEN LP 40 B.   The inner plain white sleeve has three autographs. On the left bottom of the sleeve I am uncertain as to who the autograph  belongs to?.  The top left of the sleeve comes across as   "Love............  Allen" ?,  and the third autograph says " Best Wishes.......Harry" .  I cannot be certain of these autographs, though I'm describing them to you as I see them!.   If you require other photo's please feel free to contact me. 

 The outer sleeve has two repairable splits of about 2" on the top and the bottom of the sleeve opening and considering this sleeve is 33 years  old it is in great condition with no writing, grafitti or creases anywhere to be seen.     Recently, a copy similar to this one changed hands in Germany for £2,700.00!.      This is truly a record collectors dream!.
