Description

TONY CROMBIE - " WHOLE LOTTA TONY ", Ember Records (International) Ltd. (EMB 3336) MONO,1961.

Very rare 1961 British Modern Jazz LP by Crombie, featuring Tommy Whittle, Harold McNair, Gordon Beck, Malcolm Cecil and Bobby Wellins.

First (and only) Englisg pressing.

Professionally cleaned on my Moth record cleaning machine and then put in a fresh new poly-lined inner sleeve (original inner has been retained to keep it all original - see photo).

CONDITION:

VINYL  =  EXCELLENT (No deep scratches, groove damage, excessive surface noise, distortion, etc. No obvious spindle trails on the label. In daylight it looks perfectly clean, but a bright grading lamp reveals just a few extremely hairline surface/paper scuffs - as you would expect, these do not sound on playback. Plays very well - starts with the very lightest of faint surface noise during the silent run-in which stops as the music starts. Then it plays strong, clear and without interruption from clicks, crackles and excessive surface noise. Clearly only had pretty light use in it's lifetime and has been very well cared for.

Note: for the purposes of this listing I have tested this LP on my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable - generally this is quite a critical test, but I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP will sound on your turntable - common sense for most... but then this is ebay!!!)

SLEEVE = V.G.++ (No big rips, tears, defacing, etc. But a bit worn around the edges and corners, the spine has a few small creases and a bit of light delamination, the top right corner has a small seam split and the back is suffering a bit of yellowing and a tiny bit of flip-back missing - see photos for further clarification)

NOTE: I must point out that we are actually a long standing physical record shop, with many decades worth of selling, trading and grading records under our collective belts. Unlike so many of the jokers now selling records on ebay, we know how to grade records. Before bidding, please read my description carefully, decide how much this record is worth to you and place you max bid accordingly. Please also feel free to check out my feedback from the many other successful transactions I have made in the past.

ANY QUESTIONS? PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO GET IN TOUCH!

HAPPY BIDDING!!!!!
